Jody J Hill grew up in a family that explored the wilderness from forested mountains to reefed islands. She likes to use that background to give the different cultures in her fantasy writing a sense of place. She has taken graduate courses in folklore and linguistics and is a retired educator with a BA in English Literature, a minor in Creative Writing, and a Teaching MA.. Currently, she is the co-chair of the Southern Oregon Chapter of Willamette Writers. She also “collects” national parks in her free time to continue her lifelong love of learning.
